Bella’s love for music began at an early age, playing piano at 5 years old and recording her uncle David’s Breakdancing tapes. She took a liking to Break Beat as she listened and danced to tracks such as “Rappers Delight” and “Planet Rock” as a child. Her parents let freedom ring when it came to her creativity with music. At 14, she chose the Car Audio and Miami Bass Cd’s such as “Bass Mekanik” at “Old Bill’s Audio” in the small town in Central Florida where she lived. Shortly after, she realized that dj’ing and producing breakbeat and electro is what she wanted most to excel. At 18, she started hitting the club scene and quickly became familiar with the beats and rhythms that made people dance in all genres of electronic music. In 2002, she bought her first pair of turntables and mixer from a friend and quickly picked up the art of mixing. By the end of 2003 she had landed a residency at a local night club. The owner referred to her poise and performance as “Bella”, hence the name. Bella’s name became very popular as she packed the dance floor and attracted new people to the venue consistently. 3 years later, the demand for Bella to play parties in other Florida cities made it impossible for her to hold the residency. Known for her impeccable taste, cutting-edge selection, and mixing style she was recognized as a hot commodity and talented dj by listeners in all of North America. By the fall of 2005 she was opening for acts like Agent K, Deekline and Wizard, AK1200, DJ Fixx, Keith Mackenzie and many others. In addition, she played live sets for major radio stations in the Tampa Bay area and received the most support from her friend, DJ Rose, creator of WLLD 98.7’s popular “X-Factory” show. On September 23, 2005 Bella played a show in Central Florida and opened for Agent K and DJ Fixx. Agent K was floored by her performance stating “She’s not like other female DJ’s you see playing out. She has impeccable taste in music and moves the crowd like the best of us.” He quickly jumped at the opportunity to work with Bella in the studio and on the road. Guiding her through the ways of the industry, she quickly picked up and rode her talents to the sky. Now they own and operate their own label, Digital Records. Agent K and Bella are completely focused to take the electronic music scene by storm. Bella is one of the best female breaks dj and producer on the scene. Bella’s style of breakbeat and electro are filled with hard hitting basslines and fancy rhythms that keep bodies moving. Influenced by the works of Afrika Bambaata, Freak Nasty, Luke Skywalker, Agent K, Deekline, Stanton Warriors, Aquasky, Krafty Kuts, and DJ Icey. This accomplished female dj/producer now has the number 4 song on Beatport.com’s “Top 10 of 2008” in breaks, “Sierra Leone” Phat Riderz Remix. In addition to other chart toppers like “Baby Baby Baby”, “Skeeza”, “South Hampton”, and “Jack the Ripper” which all remained on Beatport’s Top 100 in Breaks. Now they own and operate their own label, Digital Records, Agent K and Bella plan to take the electronic music scene by storm. Consistently pushing the envelope on the stage and in the studio, Bella is sure to keep the crowds moving for years to come.
