From the farthest depths of humanoid computation comes the production team and DJ duo Android Cartel. Based out of Los Angeles robot masters Reagan Denius and Christopher Mohn are responsible for crafting the sound of West Coast tech-house and have exploded onto the scene with a ravenous force that only and android army could invoke.
With an attitude bumping enough for a dirty downtown warehouse, and moods big enough for the main room dance floor, the Cartel’s conception of atmosphere and rhythm has found a place amongst the biggest producer’s and DJ’s of modern dance music such as Dubfire, Luciano, Radio Slave, John Digweed, Steve Lawler, Ben Watt, Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox, Chris Fortier, Hernan Cattaneo, Chloe Harris and more!
Android Cartel have managed to walk a fine line with their influences of underground and mainstream club culture with releases on VIVa MUSIC, EQ Recordings, Fade Records, as well as underground favorites that continue to influence the shape of techno like Railyard, and Tekfunk.
The Android’s have also built up a following in the Los Angeles area and have DJ’d many shows and have become local favorites as representatives and educators of the global sounds of house music. They have also created a buzz in the San Diego scene, playing at Giant’s SPIN night club, as well as throwing many of their own parties in conjunction with Tekfunk.
The Androids also host a monthly internet radio show on Proton Radio that airs every third Wednesday of the month from 3PM - 5PM PST (6PM - 8PM EST). The show is called “Expressions in Sound,” and has hosted guests such as Luca Bacchetti, Robert Babicz, Livio & Roby, Chris Fortier, Erphun, and many others.
